Kuala Lumpur: The Chinese Taipei Football Association (CTFA) has appointed Gary White from England as the head coach of its National team.
White, 43, is highly experienced as prior to joining CTFA, he was head coach of China side Shanghai Shen Xin.
The Southampton native had also held coaching roles with British Virgin Islands, the Bahamas and Guam.
White will be assisted by Louis Lancaster (assistant coach) and former Queens Park Rangers goalkeeping coach David Rouse.
Their first assignments will be a friendly against Mongolia on October 5, to be followed by an Asian Cup 2019 qualifying match against Bahrain five days later.
Chinese Taipei currently lie third in Group E on three points behind Bahrain (seven points) and Turkmenistan (four points). Singapore are fourth on two points.
