Bangladesh, India power to victories

Kathmandu: Bangladesh beat Pakistan 6-0 while India defeated Maldives 9-0 in Group A of the 2022 SAFF Women's Championship on Saturday.

The victories mean Bangladesh and India have confirmed their places in the semi-finals, with their clash on Tuesday to decide the group winners.

Bhutan cruise past Sri Lanka to revive semi-final hopes

Kathmandu: Bhutan reignited their 2022 SAFF Women's Championship campaign with a 5-0 win over Sri Lanka on Friday.

Having lost their opening Group B tie 4-0 to hosts Nepal, Friday's victory means Bhutan will advance to the last four stage if Sri Lanka are unable to defeat Nepal by five clear goals on Monday.

Vientiane: Laos cruised to a 3-0 victory over Guam while Yemen earned a hard fought 2-2 draw against Palestine in Group C of the AFC U20 Asian Cup™ Uzbekistan 2023 Qualifiers on Saturday.

Laos’ win is a boost in their bid to qualify for the Finals, with only the top team from the group assured of a place in Uzbekistan 2023.
