RFP for appointment of an audit/accounting firm for the provision of audit services for the AFC Enhance Programme 2024

Kuala Lumpur: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) to  receive proposals and quotations for the provision of audit services for the AFC Enhance Programme.

Full details related to this exercise, including the AFC’s requirements, will be provided to vendors who intend to participate in this RFP.

Kuala Lumpur: Japan were the big winners as Matchday Three of the AFC Asian Qualifiers™ - Road to 26 came to a close on Thursday.

A 2-0 win against Saudi Arabia in Jeddah means Japan have opened a five-point gap at the top of the Group C standings.

Korea Republic would also have been satisfied with their night's work as their 2-0 defeat of Jordan in Group B not only avenged their loss to the West Asian side in the semi-finals of the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023™ but also kept them on track for an 11th successive appearance at the FIFA World Cup.

The face-off between Group A pacesetters Uzbekistan and Islamic Republic of Iran ended in a goalless draw, with both teams moving to seven points.

Jeddah: Japan continued their perfect start to the AFC Asian Qualifiers™ - Road to 26 on Thursday as Hajime Moriyasu’s side defeated Saudi Arabia 2-0 at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah to move five points clear at the top of Group C.

Daichi Kamada put the Japanese in front in the 14th minute and substitute Koki Ogawa doubled the advantage with nine minutes remaining as the Samurai Blue continued on their march to the FIFA World Cup 2026 finals.

Japan have a maximum nine points while the Saudis have dropped down to third in the group, trailing Australia on goal difference after Tony Popovic’s side defeat China PR earlier in the day.

Basra: Aymen Hussein was the star as Iraq defeated Palestine 1-0 in their AFC Asian Qualifiers - Road to 26 Group B encounter at the Basra International Stadium on Thursday.

Hussein, who missed the previous match through injury, sealed the points with a classy finish as Iraq moved level with Korea Republic on seven points, with the two pacesetters to square off on Tuesday.

Riffa: A late Bahrain goal denied Indonesia their first win as the two sides settled for a 2-2 draw in their AFC Asian Qualifiers™ – Road to 26 Group C match on Thursday.

Bahrain equalised in the ninth minute of added time at the end of the second half as Indonesia earned their third successive draw after having earlier held Saudi Arabia and Australia in their debut campaign.

Al Ain: A fighting DPR Korea held United Arab Emirates to a 1-1 draw in their AFC Asian Qualifiers™ - Road to 26 Group A tie at the Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium on Thursday.

Yahya Al Ghassani struck in the 66th minute to open the scoring with goalkeeper Khalid Eisa keeping out Han Kwang Song’s spot-kick, only for Jong Il Gwan to level the tie late in the game.
