Shinzo Koroki leaves Urawa Reds for Consadole Sapporo

Tokyo: AFC Champions League winner Shinzo Koroki will join Consadole Sapporo on a year-long loan deal next season, the 35-year-old’s parent club Urawa Red Diamonds announced on Wednesday.

Koroki was a key member of the Urawa side that won the AFC Champions League in 2017 and who also reached the final two years later, losing to Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal.

Saudi Arabia's Al Taawoun sign Álvaro Medrán, Olsen joins UAE's Shabab Al Ahli

Buraidah: Saudi Pro League side Al Taawoun FC and UAE's Shabab Al Ahli Dubai FC have strengthened their squads with the signings of Álvaro Medrán and Thomas Olsen respectively, the clubs announced on Tuesday.

The 27-year-old Medrán joins 2019 Saudi King’s Cup champions Al Taawoun from MSL outfit Chicago Fire on a season and a half contract.

Tatsuma Yoshida steps down as Singapore national team coach

Singapore: The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) announced on Tuesday that Tatsuma Yoshida, by mutual agreement, will step down as head coach of the Lions on December 31 in order to return home to Japan and be with his family during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 47-year old Yoshida leaves after 30 months in charge, having just guided Singapore to the 2020 AFF Cup semi-finals..

Tadanari Lee joins Albirex Niigata

Singapore: Former Japan international striker Tadanari Lee has signed for Singapore Premier League side Albirex Niigata FC Singapore, the club announced on Tuesday.

Lee, who scored the winning goal for the Samurai Blue in the final of the 2011 AFC Asian Cup, has joined the Singaporean club after his contract with J2 League side Kyoto Sanga expired.
