Cong Phuong joins Yokohama FC

Yokohama: Vietnam's Nguyen Cong Phuong has signed a two-year contract with newly-promoted J-League 1 side Yokohama FC.  

The striker joins Yokohama from Vietnam club Hoang Anh Gia Lai (HAGL).

Kuala Lumpur: Japan overcame the early shock of losing to Saudi Arabia to win the AFC Futsal Asian Cup™ Kuwait 2022, regaining the title they last won in 2014.

The victory was made even more impressive by the fact that Japan defeated 12-time champions Islamic Republic of Iran in a classic final at the Saad Al Abdullah Hall.
 
It was the perfect ending for a tournament that made a return after four years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
