The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has today published the AFC Asian Cup 2027™ Bid Books of the four Member Associations that remain in contention to host the AFC’s flagship competition – the All India Football Federation (AIFF), the Football Federation of the Islamic Republic of Iran (FFIRI), the Qatar Football Association (QFA) and the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF).
All four Member Associations had submitted their Bid Books for the tournament within the stipulated deadline and in the interest of conducting a fair and transparent Bidding Process, the AFC is for the first time providing, for the benefit of fans, members of the media and all stakeholders of Asian football, the opportunity to access the proposals on the-AFC.com.

Kuala Lumpur: In a year bereft of national team football, only one match of the Asian Qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and AFC Asian Cup China 2023 was played, with Qatar facing Bangladesh on December 4.
The Group E match ended 5-0 in Qatar's favour, taking the defending champions one step closer towards qualification for the AFC Asian Cup China 2023.
As hosts, Qatar are assured of their place in the FIFA World Cup 2022 but for the remaining 39 teams, there is still all to play for in the Asian Qualifiers.

Abu Dhabi: Afghanistan are currently undergoing a six-day training camp in Dubai in preparation for the resumption of the Asian Qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and AFC Asian Cup China 2023.
Head coach Anoush Dastgir called up 10 new players, who impressed in the 2020 Afghan Premier League, for the Dubai training camp with Afghanistan scheduled to play Bangladesh on March 25 before facing Oman five days later in Group E of the Asian Qualifiers.

Amman: Jordan will prepare for their remaining matches in the Asian Qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and AFC Asian Cup China 2023 with friendlies against Oman and Lebanon next March.
The Jordan Football Association (JFA) announced that “The Chivalrous” will have a preparatory camp in Muscat where they will play Oman on March 19 before facing Lebanon in Dubai five days later.

Doha: Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) President, today received Qatar's Bid Book as part of the next phase of their bid to host the AFC Asian Cup 2027™.
Shaikh Salman received the Bid Book from Qatar Football Association President Shaikh Hamad Bin Khalifah Al Thani, during the opening ceremony of the Ahmad bin Ali Stadium, which was also attended by several other top Asian sports officials.
The Qatar FA, along with the Saudi Arabia, Islamic Republic of Iran, India, and Uzbekistan, are hoping to win the rights to host the AFC Asian Cup, the crown jewel of National Team competitions, in 2027.
Shaikh Salman said: "The growing stature of the AFC Asian Cup has created great interest to host the event and the Bid Books from the potential hosts reflect the hard work that has gone into the submissions and in turn demonstrates the importance of the tournament.
"We have witnessed the growth of the AFC Asian Cup, which has broken all records in the last two editions, in Australia in 2015 and last year in the United Arab Emirates, in terms of spectators, TV viewership and digital channels engagement. We are confident that the next edition - the AFC Asian Cup China 2023™ - will be an even greater success and set the benchmark for the 2027 tournament.”
Shaikh Salman said that he is confident that the AFC will deliver the highest level of integrity in the bidding process for the AFC Asian Cup 2027™ and wished the best of luck to all the Member Associations in the rest of their bidding campaigns.

Kuala Lumpur: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) received the Bid Books to host the AFC Asian Cup 2027™ from Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) and Qatar Football Association (QFA) at the AFC House today.
Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Malaysia His Excellency Mahmoud H.S Qattan and Qatar’s Ambassador to Malaysia His Excellency Fahad Mohammed Kafoud visited the AFC headquarters in Kuala Lumpur to officially submit the necessary bidding documentations.

Manama: Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) President, today received Saudi Arabia's Bid Book as part of the next phase of their campaign to host AFC Asian Cup 2027.
Shaikh Salman welcomed the Saudi Arabia Football Federation (SAFF) delegation, led by Yasser Almisehal, SAFF President, who delivered the Saudi Arabian Bid Book during the meeting in Bahrain.
Shaikh Salman thanked SAFF who, along with the Islamic Republic of Iran, India, Qatar and Uzbekistan are hoping to win the rights to host the AFC Asian Cup, the crown jewel of National Team competitions, in 2027.
Shaikh Salman said: "We could witness five Member Associations submitting bids to host the AFC Asian Cup 2027, which demonstrates the ever-growing status of this competition and how attractive it is both technically and commercially to potential hosts."
Shaikh Salman added that the AFC believes that the continued interest from Member Associations (MAs) to host the AFC Asian Cup reflects the prestige of the competition. He wished all the MAs bidding the very best of luck. The AFC will award the hosting rights of the 19th edition of the competition in 2021.
Also attending the handing over of the Bid Book were the AFC General Secretary, Dato' Windsor John, and SAFF vice president Khalid Althebity as well as SAFF General Secretary Ibrahim Alkassim. They were joined by former Saudi Arabian players from the team that won the AFC Asian Cup in 1984 and 1988 - Ahmad Jamil, Shaei Al Nufeisah, Saleh Al Naeima, Saleh Khalifah, Majed Abdallah and Muhammad Abdeljawad.
