Pattaya: Islamic Republic of Iran advanced to the AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup™ Thailand 2023 knockout stage after defeating Uzbekistan 11-2 in their second Group B tie on Saturday.

With the United Arab Emirates defeating Malaysia 5-3 in Group B's later match on Saturday, Iran joined the West Asians in confirming their quarter-final spots with a match to spare.
Iran and UAE will square off on Monday to decide the group winners.

Pattaya: United Arab Emirates qualified for the quarter-finals of the AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup™ Thailand 2023 with a 5-3 win over Malaysia in their second Group B match on Saturday.

Having defeated Uzbekistan 4-0 in their opener, the win against Malaysia ensured UAE a top two finish with Islamic Republic of Iran also confirming their last eight spot.
 
Iran, who beat Uzbekistan 11-2 earlier on Saturday, will face UAE on Monday to decide the group winners.

Pattaya: Bahrain took a huge step towards qualifying for the AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup™ Thailand 2023 knockout stage after edging Saudi Arabia 4-3 in a thrilling Group A tie on Saturday.

Trailing 3-2 after a Saudi Arabia fightback, Banhrain scored twice in the final minute to seal the victory and will look to confirm qualification when they face Thailand on Monday while Saudi Arabia will have to beat Afghanistan to stand a chance of advancing.

China boosted their knockout stage hopes with 4-1 win over Lebanon while defending champions Japan outplayed Indonesia 7-0 .

Pattaya: Kuwait and Oman impressed in their respective AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup™ Thailand 2023 openers on Friday.

Kuwait stunned 2019 semi-finalists Palestine 5-0, while Oman outplayed Kyrgyz Republic 7-0 at the Jomtien Beach Arena.
