Group B: UAE 2-7 IR Iran

Pattaya: Islamic Republic of Iran were simply unstoppable as they defeated United Arab Emirates 7-2 to top Group B of the AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup™ Thailand 2023 on Monday.

Both teams advanced to the quarter-finals, with Iran to face Group A runners-up Bahrain while UAE will take on Group A winners Thailand.

Group B: Malaysia 2-6 Uzbekistan

Pattaya: Uzbekistan ended their AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup™ Thailand 2023 Group B campaign with a 6-2 win over Malaysia on Monday.

The win meant Uzbekistan finished ahead of Malaysia in the Group B standings with Islamic Republic of Iran and the United Arab Emirates having confirmed their quarter-final places earlier.

Group A: Thailand 2-0 Bahrain

Pattaya: Thailand qualified for the quarter-finals of the AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup™ Thailand 2023 as Group A winners after they upset 2006 champions Bahrain 2-0 in their final group match on Monday. 

Thailand, who had never progressed beyond the group stage in four appearances, now play Group B runners-up United Arab Emirates in the knockout stage on Tuesday. Bahrain qualified as runners-up and will meet Islamic Republic of Iran in the quarter-finals on the same day.
 
The hosts fumbled their tournament start with a 3-2 loss to Saudi Arabia but kept their hopes alive with a 5-4 win over Afghanistan. Bahrain defeated Saudi Arabia 4-3 and Afghanistan 4-2 in their first two matches.

Pattaya: Saudi Arabia defeated Afghanistan 4-2 on penalties in their last Group A match on Monday at the AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup™ Thailand 2023.

The tie ended 4-4 after extra-time and with Thailand defeating Bahrain 2-0 in the group's second match on Monday, Saudi Arabia were eliminated despite a stirring campaign.

Group C: Japan almost there, Lebanon get second chance

Pattaya: Defending champions Japan and Lebanon will clash on Tuesday in the hopes of confirming their places in the quarter-finals of the AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup™ Thailand 2023 after claiming easy wins in Group C on Sunday.

Japan beat China PR 6-1 while Lebanon steamrolled past Indonesia for a 12-0 win.

Group D: Oman eye top spot, Palestine revive hopes

Pattaya: Oman took a step closer towards qualifying to the AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup™ Thailand 2023 knockout stage, while Palestine reignited their campaign on Sunday. 

Oman stamped their authority in Group D with a 5-1 win over Kuwait, while Palestine bounced back from their opening day defeat to see off Kyrgyz Republic 3-2 at the Jomtien Beach Arena.

Eight teams set for Round 2 showdown at AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup Uzbekistan 2024™ Qualifiers

Kuala Lumpur: The final hurdle awaits eight teams in their quest to clinch their spots for the AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup Uzbekistan 2024™ as they gear up for Round 2 of the Qualifiers.

Australia, China PR, Chinese Taipei, Islamic Republic of Iran, Lebanon, Myanmar, Nepal and Vietnam will discover their opponents at the official draw in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Thursday at 3pm.
