Group C: Tabata expects more from Japan's title chasers

Pattaya: Defending champions Japan showed they will be hard to stop in the AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup™ Thailand 2023 after advancing with a perfect record from Group C.

Japan defeated Lebanon 9-3 in an action-packed game on Tuesday while group runners-up China PR were made to work for their 5-4 win over Indonesia. 
 
Japan will play Kuwait in Thursday’s quarter-finals as they continue their bid for a fourth title while China take on Oman.

Group D: Perfect Oman hungry for success

Pattaya: Oman showed resilience to beat Palestine on Tuesday to cement their place in the AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup™ Thailand 2023 quarter-finals.

The 2015 champions defeated Palestine 5-1, while Kuwait joined them in the last eight after edging Kyrgyz Republic 3-2 on penalties following a 4-4 draw earlier on Tuesday.

Oman will face Group C runners-up China PR in the last eight while Kuwait will face a stern test against defending champions and Group C winners Japan on Thursday.
