Bangkok: Uzbekistan took a huge step towards the quarter-finals of the AFC Futsal Asian Cup Thailand™ 2024 after defeating Iraq 4-1 in their Group B tie at the Bangkok Arena on Friday.

Uzbekistan top the standings on six points with Iraq second, with the Central Asian side to take on Saudi Arabia in their final group fixture on Sunday. Iraq will play winless Australia.

Bangkok: Saudi Arabia bounced back in style to defeat Australia 4-2 in their AFC Futsal Asian Cup Thailand Bangkok™ 2024 Group B tie at the Bangkok Arena on Friday.

Nawaf Aroan struck twice to steer Saudi Arabia past a gritty Australian side to set up a mouthwatering clash against Uzbekistan next with Australia taking on Iraq on Sunday.

Bangkok: Thailand secured their place in the AFC Futsal Asian Cup™ Thailand 2024 quarter-finals with a game to spare after an emphatic 5-0 win over Myanmar in Group A on Friday.

With maximum points from their opening two games, Thailand top the standings ahead of Vietnam who are on four points after their 1-0 win over bottom side China PR earlier in the day.
 
Myanmar, in third with a point, still have a mathematical chance to claim a maiden knockout stage place should they defeat already-eliminated China on Matchday Three and results, and a hefty goal swing, go their way in the corresponding Thailand – Vietnam clash.

Doha: Korea Republic booked their spot in the knockout stage of the AFC U23 Asian Cup Qatar 2024™ on Friday after a 2-0 win against China PR at the Abdullah Bin Khalifa Stadium.

Lee Young-jun, who netted the sole strike in their opening win against the United Arab Emirates, came up with the goods again for Korea Republic by grabbing both goals in the Group B encounter with their quarter-final slot confirmed after Japan defeated United Arab Emirates 2-0 in the later match on Friday.
 
It was a lesson in ruthlessness from Korea Republic, who had only three shots on target and scored two, with their clash against Japan on Monday to decide the group winners.

Kuala Lumpur: The AFC Champions League™ 2023/24 witnessed some exhilarating action as the first legs of the two semi-final contests were played out on Wednesday. 

Korean champions Ulsan Hyundai FC earned a narrow 1-0 win against Japan’s Yokohama F. Marinos in the East Zone while Al Ain FC of the United Arab Emirates registered a 4-2 victory against four-time Asian champions Al Hilal SFC in the West.
