Bangkok: Uzbekistan booked their spot in the AFC Futsal Asian Cup™ Thailand 2024 quarter-finals as Group B winners with a perfect record after defeating Saudi Arabia 3-1 at Bangkok Arena on Sunday.

Uzbekistan’s third consecutive victory, after wins over Australia and Iraq, saw them finish in pole position with the Central Asians next playing Group A runners-up Vietnam in the quarter-finals

Group A: Vietnam advance despite Thailand defeat

Bangkok: Thailand defeated Vietnam 2-1 to top Group A of the AFC Futsal Asian Cup Thailand™ 2024 at the Hua Mark Arena on Sunday.

The defeat, however, did not prevent Vietnam from also advancing as they finished second ahead of Myanmar on goal difference with both teams tied on four points.

Bangkok: Myanmar secured their first-ever AFC Futsal Asian Cup™ win after defeating China PR 3-1 but were still eliminated from Thailand 2024 at the Bangkok Arena on Sunday.

Needing not only second-placed Vietnam to lose to eventual Group A winners Thailand but also by a significant goal-swing to overcome a six-goal differential, Myanmar finished third, albeit level on points with their fellow Southeast Asians.
