Preview - 2022 AFF Futsal Championship

Bangkok: Nine Southeast Asian teams will convene in the Thailand capital for the AFF Futsal Championship 2022 which kicks off on Saturday. 

Group A will feature five teams - Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Cambodia and Brunei Darussalam, while Group B will see Vietnam, Myanmar, Timor-Leste and Australia going head to head, with the top two teams in each group to progress to the semi-finals. 

The regional tournament will also serve as qualification for the AFC Futsal Asian Cup Kuwait 2022™, with the top three teams representing ASEAN in the Finals in September.
