AFC U17 Asian Cup 2023

The Football Association of Indonesia has been confirmed as the Host Association of the AFC Futsal Asian Cup™ in 2026 after the AFC Executive Committee ratified the AFC Futsal & Beach Soccer Committee’s recommendation on November 8, 2024.

DPR Korea (Group A) and United Arab Emirates (Group H had confirmed on Friday that they would be joining hosts Saudi Arabia next April with Afghanistan (Group B), Korea Republic (Group C), Thailand (Group D), Uzbekistan (Group E), Japan (Group F), Australia (Group G), Yemen (Group I) and Tajikistan (Group J) booking their spots as the group winners on Sunday.

China PR (Group C), Vietnam (Group I), Indonesia (Group G), IR Iran (Group A) and Oman (Group J) advanced as the best five second-placed teams.

Japan finished with a perfect tally of nine points and they will head to the Finals seeking a fifth title.

Mongolia, meanwhile, left it late to snatch a 1-0 win over Nepal to end their campaign on a high.

Both teams finished on seven points, with Australia topping the group with a superior goal difference while Indonesia advanced as one of the five best runners-up.

In the later game, Kuwait picked up a 9-0 win against Northern Mariana Islands to close out their campaign on a resounding note.

With DPR Korea having already taken the top spot, Iran's qualification was thanks to Hong Kong, China edging Syria 2-1 in the group’s concluding tie.

The Southeast Asian side completed their campaign with three wins to book their spot in the Finals while India were eliminated.

Earlier, Turkmenistan bid farewell to the Qualifiers with a 10-0 defeat of Brunei Darussalam.
