Qualifiers - Group C: Japan turn on the power against Guam, Yemen eliminate Laos

Vientiane: Kanta Chiba scored six times as Japan flexed their muscles against Guam to emerge 9-0 winners, while Yemen edged Laos 2-1 to secure their first win in Group C of the AFC U20 Asian Cup™ Uzbekistan 2023 Qualifiers on Wednesday. 

The result makes it two wins out of two for the Samurai Blue as they sit comfortably at the top of the standings.

Yemen, meanwhile, survived a late Laos revival to bounce back into contention.

Qualifiers - Group D: Chinese Taipei revive hopes, Jordan cruise past Northern Mariana Islands

Amman: Chinese Taipei breathed life into their AFC U20 Asian Cup™ Uzbekistan 2023 Qualifiers Group D campaign after beating Turkmenistan 1-0, while Jordan defeated Northern Mariana Islands (NMI) 16-0 on Wednesday. 

Wei Chih-Chuan scored in the second half to help Chinese Taipei claim their first win in the group. 

Jordan didn’t pull their punches against NMI as they secured three crucial points to overtake Syria at the top of the standings after two matches.

Ulaanbaatar: Korea Republic defeated Sri Lanka 6-0, while Malaysia fought back to earn a 1-1 draw against Mongolia in Group E of the AFC U20 Asian Cup™ Uzbekistan 2023 Qualifiers at the MFF Stadium on Wednesday.

The resounding win gives Korea Republic an early advantage with only the top team from the group assured of a place in Uzbekistan 2023.

Surabaya: Vietnam defeated Hong Kong 5-1 while Indonesia beat Timor-Leste 4-0 in Group F of the AFC U20 Asian Cup™ Uzbekistan 2023 Qualifiers at the Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium on Wednesday.

The comprehensive victories give Vietnam and Indonesia  an early advantage with only the top team from the group assured of a place in Uzbekistan 2023.

Salalah: Thailand and Oman were at their best as they kicked off their AFC U20 Asian Cup™ Uzbekistan 2023 Qualifiers Group G campaigns with impressive wins on Wednesday.

Thailand defeated Afghanistan 3-0 with Oman beating the Philippines with the same score to set the stage for an exciting race with only the group winners assured of an automatic spot in Uzbekistan 2023.

Qualifiers - Group I: Lebanon edge Cambodia; Tajikistan, Singapore share spoils

Dushanbe: Lebanon beat Cambodia 1-0 in Group I of the AFC U20 Asian Cup™ Uzbekistan 2023 Qualifiers, while Tajikistan and Singapore played to a goalless draw on Wednesday.  

Mohamad Sadek’s goal at the Republican Central Stadium was enough for Lebanon to secure a winning start and an early advantage in the race to qualify for the Finals.

Qualifiers - Group J: Big win for UAE; IR Iran overcome Kyrgyz Republic

Bishkek: United Arab Emirates defeated Brunei Darussalam 5-0 to kick off their AFC U20 Asian Cup™ Uzbekistan 2023 Qualifiers Group J campaign with a swagger on Wednesday.

Islamic Republic of Iran, meanwhile, edged Kyrgyz Republic 1-0 in the later Group J match at the Dolen Omurzakov Stadium.

AFC U20 Asian Cup Uzbekistan 2023™ Qualifiers Group H to be held in Kuwait

Kuala Lumpur: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has today confirmed the Kuwait Football Association as the host Member Association of the AFC U20 Asian Cup Uzbekistan 2023™ Qualifiers Group H matches.

Additionally, Australia, who had earlier withdrawn from the tournament, have been reinstated to the group following the approval of the AFC Competitions Committee on September 12, 2022, in accordance with Articles 6.2 and 61.1 of the Competition Regulations.
