Tashkent: Australia and the Philippines opened their AFC Women’s Futsal Asian Cup™ China 2025 Qualifiers campaigns in style at the Yunusobod Sport Complex on Saturday.

Australia registered an emphatic 6-1 win over Turkmenistan, while newcomers Philippines impressed in a 4-1 victory over Kuwait.

Qualifiers - Group A: Bahrain 1-1 Lebanon; Iraq 1-1 Palestine

Nonthaburi: Bahrain and Lebanon shared the points following a 1-1 draw in their opening AFC Women’s Futsal Asian Cup™ China 2025 Qualifiers Group A match on Saturday.

The later game between Iraq and Palestine also ended 1-1 to leave the group in the balance.

Bangkok: Futoshi Ikeda has been named as Thailand women’s head coach, an appointment which takes him out of his native Japan for the first time.
