Ardiya: Kuwait and Iraq settled for a 0-0 draw in their AFC Asian Qualifiers™ – Road to 26 Group B tie on Tuesday.

Iraq were reduced to 10 men after Rebin Sulaka’s red card in the seventh minute but Kuwait were unable to capitalise at the Jaber Al Ahmad International Stadium.

Muscat: Son Heung-min sent Korea Republic on their way to a first win in the AFC Asian Qualifiers™ - Road to 26 on Tuesday as the Tottenham Hotspur forward netted his side’s crucial second in a 3-1 victory over Oman in Muscat’s Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex.

Hwang Hee-chan had given the Koreans the lead in the 10th minute but an own goal by Jung Seung-hyun in first half injury time levelled the scores before Son hit his side’s second eight minutes from time and Joo Min-kyu put the result of the Group B clash beyond doubt.

The result moves the Koreans onto four points from their opening two games while the Omanis are stranded at the bottom of the standings without a point having also lost their first match 1-0 against Iraq on Tuesday.

Wessam Abou Ali canceled out Yazan Al Naimat’s opener only for the latter to restore Jordan’s lead after the restart before Noor Al Rawabdeh struck the third to seal the win.

Jakarta: Indonesia and Australia played to an entertaining goalless draw in their AFC Asian Qualifiers™ – Road to 26 Group C match at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium on Tuesday.

With the draw, Indonesia earned their second point - having held Saudi Arabia, while Australia opened their account after having suffered an opening day loss to Bahrain.

Dalian: Hassan Kadish powered in a late header as 10-man Saudi Arabia picked up their first win of the AFC Asian Qualifiers™ - Road to 26 on Tuesday with a 2-1 come-from-behind victory over China PR at the Dalian Suoyuwan Stadium.

Mohamed Kanno was dismissed 19 minutes into the game after Ali Lajami’s own goal had put the home side in front five minutes earlier but Kadish levelled the scores five minutes prior to the interval with a downward header.

Both sides hit the woodwork in an eventful clash and Kadish decided the game in the final minute when he met Musab Al Juwayr’s cross to end Chinese hopes of a first point of the final phase of the qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Group C: Bahrain 0-5 Japan

RIffa: Ayase Ueda and Hidemasa Morita both scored twice as Japan cruised to a second successive win in the AFC Asian Qualifiers™ - Road to 26 on Tuesday with Hajime Moriyasu’s side handing Bahrain a 5-0 defeat in Riffa.

Ueda put the Japanese ahead from the penalty spot in the 37th minute before doubling the advantage two minutes into the second half while two further goals in three minutes from Morita ensured the points were safe for the Samurai Blue.

Japan have scored 12 times in their first two games having won 7-0 against China PR in their opening match on Thursday and sit on top of Group C, two points clear of second-placed Saudi Arabia. Bahrain remain on three points after their opening win over Australia on the Gold Coast last week.
