Ivankovic: Oman's goal is 2026 qualification

Muscat: Head coach Branko Ivankovic has set Oman the target of qualifying for the FIFA World Cup 2026 on merit as the West Asian side kick off preparations for two major assignments in the coming months. 

Oman's bid to qualify for the FIFA World Cup 2026 and AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027™ starts in November with the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023™ to follow in January.

Former Austrian international Jantscher signs for Kitchee

Hong Kong: Reigning Hong Kong Premier League champions Kitchee have confirmed the signing of former Austria international striker Jakob Jantscher ahead of their involvement in the AFC Champions League™ 2023/24.

The 34-year-old joins after completing his second stint at Sturm Graz, where he was named Austrian Bundesliga Player of the Year in the 2021/22 season after scoring 14 goals and providing 15 assists throughout the campaign.
