Singapore: Head coach Tatsuma Yoshida has named 26 players for Singapore's remaining three Asian Qualifiers Group D fixtures for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and AFC Asian Cup China 2023.
The Lions will play Palestine (June 3), Uzbekistan (June 7) and Saudi Arabia (June 11) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Singapore are currently third in the standings, two points and four points behind Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia respectively.

Riyadh: Three months after Saudi Arabia faced Yemen in the most recent game of the group, the five teams of Group D of the Asian Qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and AFC Asian Cup China 2023 reconvene in the Saudi capital Riyadh for the remaining seven matches.
With the group having passed the halfway point, Saudi Arabia hold the advantage at the top going into the three-week run-in on home soil, Uzbekistan and Singapore remain within touching distance of the hosts while Palestine are bottom and practically out of contention.

Victory over Antoine Hey’s side will take the Japanese into the next round by guaranteeing their status as Group F winners with two games remaining and maintain their perfect record in the second round of the Asian Qualifiers.
Japan have won their first five games in the Asian Qualifiers and a win on Friday would also secure Moriyasu’s side a berth at the Finals of the AFC Asian Cup China 2023.

Sydney: Australia coach Graham Arnold has left midfield duo Aaron Mooy and Tom Rogic out of his 31-man squad for the resumption of the Asian Qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and AFC Asian Cup China 2023.
Mooy, who plays for Chinese Super League side Shanghai Port, and Celtic star Rogic have not been selected for the games to be played in Kuwait next month, when the Socceroos complete their commitments in Group B.
A minor ankle injury has sidelined Rogic while Mooy’s requirement to complete two weeks’ quarantine upon his return to China PR saw the former Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder request not to be included.
