Santiago de los Caballeros: Choe Rim Jong fired a hat-trick and an assist as DPR Korea registered an emphatic 4-1 win over Mexico in their FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup Dominican Republic 2024 Group C opener on Thursday.

Seeking to emulate their compatriots who lifted the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Colombia 2024, DPR Korea settled quickly into the tie at CFC Stadium in Santiago de los Caballeros.

Santo Domingo: Japan begin their bid for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Dominican Republic 2024 title with a 0-0 draw against Poland in their Group D tie on Thursday.

The debutant European side had the better chances and Japan will aim to improve when they face Brazil - who opened their campaign with a 1-0 win over Zambia, on Sunday.

Santo Domingo: Casey Phair's penalty secured Korea Republic a 1-1 draw with Colombia in their opening FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup Dominican Republic 2024 Group B tie on Wednesday.

In the group's other tie, two-time champions Spain began their title defence with an impressive 3-1 win over the United States.

#WACFutsal2025 Qualifiers Draw finalised

Kuala Lumpur: The 19 teams aiming to earn places in the AFC Women’s Futsal Asian Cup™ China 2025 learnt their opponents following the conclusion of the Qualifiers draw at the AFC House in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Thursday.

The teams were drawn into four groups – three groups of five and one group of four – to contest in a centralised league format from January 11 to 19, 2025.

Nine teams – the top two of each group and the best third-placed team among all groups – will progress to the Finals and join hosts China PR and 2018’s top two, Islamic Republic of Iran and Japan, to continue their quest for glory.
