Japan's hopes dashed by Spain

Surakarta: Marc Guiu was the hero for Spain at the FIFA U-17 World Cup Indonesia 2023 as the Barcelona star netted a 74th-minute winner to sink a stubborn Japan side in their Round of 16 tie on Monday.

The defeat meant Japan exited at the same stage for the fourth successive tournament while Spain will now face either USA or Germany in the quarter-finals.
