Injured Ebrahimi left out of Team Melli squad

Tehran: Omid Ebrahimi was left out of the Islamic Republic of Iran squad named by head coach Carlos Queiroz for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 on Sunday.

The Al Wakrah midfielder, a member of the Russia 2018 squad, suffered a groin injury while playing in a friendly against Nicaragua last week.
