Saitama: Tristan Do has spoken of an “exciting project” ahead of Thailand’s FIFA World Cup Russia 2018 Asian Qualifiers with Japan at Saitama Stadium on Tuesday.
The Southeast Asian side currently sit bottom of Group B having picked up just one point from six games following a 3-0 loss to table-toppers Saudi Arabia on Thursday.
And defeat on Tuesday would end Thailand’s slim hopes of claiming a top three place, yet Muangthong United defender Do remains optimistic about the potential within Kiatisuk Senamuang’s squad.
“We have a young generation and we are all around the same age,” noted Do, who has played in all six of his country’s Group B games.
“We all grew up together so it’s an exciting project because we have a lot of young players and a lot of possibilities to improve.”
