Qualifiers - Group E: Pakistan 0-2 Hong Kong; Tajikistan 0-8 Philippines

Hisor: Hong Kong and Philippines powered past Pakistan and Tajikistan respectively in their Women’s Olympic Football Tournament Paris 2024 Asian Qualifiers Round 1 Group E matches on Saturday.

Second half substitutes Chu Po Yan and Lau Yun Yi rose to the occasion to secure Hong Kong their second consecutive victory, while a six-goal blitz in the first half saw Philippines defeat Tajikistan 8-0 with the two pacesetters to meet in a winner-takes-all tie on Tuesday.

Yangon: Islamic Republic of Iran finished top of Group B following their 1-1 stalemate against Myanmar in their  Women’s Olympic Football Tournament Paris 2024 Asian Qualifiers Round 1 match on Saturday.

Myanmar’s Win Theingi Tun canceled out Negin Zandi’s first half effort but the draw at the Thuwunna Stadium was enough for Iran to claim top spot as they joined India and Thailand in the next round.

It was India's second win over Kyrgyz Republic, having defeated the Central Asian side 5-0 in their opening clash.

Seeding for AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023™ Final Draw confirmed

Kuala Lumpur: The seeding for the highly-anticipated AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023™ Final Draw, which will take place on May 11, 2023, 2:00pm (local time), in Doha, Qatar, has now been confirmed following the release of the latest FIFA World Ranking.

As with the previous editions of Asia’s crown jewel, Qatar have been allocated the first position in Pot 1 ahead of the draw to be held at the Katara Opera House to ensure that the host nation commences the tournament with the opening match scheduled for January 12, 2024.
