Early revenge for Taipower

Having seen their hopes of a first Chinese Taipei Premier League title snatched away on the final day of the 2019 season after a home defeat to eventual champions Tatung FC, Chen Kuei-jen's side had a chance for a small measure of payback with a meeting against the holders on the opening day.

Fellaini out of hospital after COVID-19 scare

Shanghai: Former Manchester United star Marouane Fellaini was discharged on Tuesday after spending more than three weeks in a Chinese hospital being treated for the COVID-19 coronavirus.

The 32-year-old midfielder, the only player known to have contracted the disease in the Chinese Super League (CSL), will now spend 14 days in quarantine for further observation, his club Shandong Luneng said.

An opening-day 7-0 win over Dushanbe-83 was duly followed by a 2-0 win over CSKA Dushanbe on Sunday, as Tajikistan’s most successful side – and one packed with national team stars - took their first steps towards a potential seventh successive league title.
