Son strikes gold at London Football Awards

London: Son Heung-min’s magnificent goal for Tottenham Hotspur against Burnley has taken the ‘Goal of the Season’ accolade at the London Football Awards.

The Korea Republic star scored what has to be one of Spurs' all-time great goals, certainly in the Premier League era, in their 5-0 win against the Clarets on December 7.

London: Son Heung-min has become the first Asian footballer to score 50 English Premier League goals after firing a brace in the 3-2 win over Aston Villa on Sunday.

The second of Son's goals, scored in added time, secured Tottenham a crucial win but his earlier effort - which the Korea Republic star slotted home after his initial spot-kick had been saved, saw him hitting the 50-goal mark.

London: Son Heung-min's incredible solo strike for Tottenham Hotspur against Burnley has been voted the Goal of the Month for December.

The Korea Republic international picked the ball up on the edge of his own box, ran away from two players and skipped past two challenges before slotting beyond Nick Pope.

Son dribbled 71.4 metres in only 11 seconds with a goal he described as "unbelievable".

Son celebrates AFC Asian International Player of the Year award with wonder goal

London: Korea Republic captain and Tottenham Hotspur star Son Heung-min celebrated receiving the 2019 AFC Asian International Player of the Year award with an amazing solo goal against Burnley in a Premier League tie on Saturday. 

Son, winning for a record third time, received the award from Korea Republic legend Park Ji-sung and Andy Roxburgh, the AFC's Director of Technical Division at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
